Software Engineer
Full-time Hybrid — Walnut Creek Bay Area
The Role

We're looking for a fullstack engineer with strong backend instincts. You'll primarily own the data layer: schema, APIs, and the logic that keeps everything consistent as the product grows. Our stack is PostgreSQL on the backend and React Native with TypeScript on the frontend — you'll need to move comfortably across both.

What You'll Do
  • Design and maintain the database schema, including tables, relationships, indexes, and migrations
  • Write and optimize queries, security policies, and database functions
  • Build serverless logic for core features: feeds, reactions, location data, social graph
  • Define and maintain API contracts the mobile frontend depends on
  • Collaborate with the frontend engineer to ship features end-to-end
  • Weigh in on architecture decisions early — we're still making foundational choices
What We're Looking For
  • Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, systems thinking, performance curiosity
  • Fullstack experience — through projects, internships, or things you built yourself
  • Fluent in TypeScript. Our entire codebase is TypeScript, front to back.
  • You've built something end-to-end and can speak honestly about the decisions you made
  • Bonus: Postgres, real-time systems, or event-driven design experience
Why Join
  • You're joining at the very beginning — the decisions you make now will shape the product
  • High ownership from day one. No tickets handed down from above.
  • Active beta with real users — what you ship gets tested immediately

Product Development Engineer
Full-time Hybrid — Walnut Creek Bay Area
The Role

Not a ticket-taking role. We're looking for someone who thinks in both code and product — who has opinions about why features should exist before thinking about how to build them. You'll work on the React Native frontend, own features from concept to ship, and be a real voice in what the product becomes.

What You'll Do
  • Build and iterate on features: location discovery, social feeds, reviews, reactions, maps
  • Work with the founding team to define what gets built — write specs, validate ideas, push back when something isn't right
  • Implement screens in React Native matching our design language: dark, refined, warm
  • Integrate with external APIs and data layers powering location and social features
  • Participate in beta cycles, gather real feedback, turn it into improvements
  • Own the quality of what you ship — every interaction, every edge case
What We're Looking For
  • Experience building mobile or web UIs with React Native, React, or comparable
  • A genuine eye for design and interaction quality — you notice when something feels off
  • Solid with TypeScript and modern frontend patterns: hooks, state management, data fetching
  • Real opinions about product — you've thought about why features exist, not just how to build them
  • Bonus: mapping SDKs, location-based features, or social app patterns
Why Join
  • You're joining at the very beginning — the decisions you make now will shape the product
  • High ownership from day one. No tickets handed down from above.
  • Active beta with real users — what you ship gets tested immediately

Summer Internship — Product Development
Internship Hybrid — Walnut Creek Summer 2026
The Role

You'll work directly alongside our Product Development Engineer on a real product with real users. This isn't a coffee-and-shadowing internship — you'll own small features end-to-end, get hands-on with our React Native codebase, and ship things that people actually use. Ideal for someone early in their career who learns fast and wants to see how a product gets built from the ground up.

What You'll Do
  • Build and iterate on UI features in React Native under the guidance of the engineering team
  • Write clean TypeScript across frontend components and data-fetching logic
  • Participate in product discussions — your opinions on what to build and why are welcome
  • Test your own work, catch edge cases, and care about quality
  • Join beta cycles and see direct feedback from real users on what you shipped
What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a degree in CS, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Some hands-on experience with React, React Native, or comparable frontend frameworks
  • Comfortable with TypeScript or willing to get there fast
  • You care about how things look and feel, not just whether they work
  • Bonus: you've shipped something — a project, an app, anything you can show us
Why Join
  • Work directly with the founding team — no layers, no bureaucracy
  • Ship real features to real users over the summer
  • See how an early-stage product gets built and scaled
  • Strong performers will be considered for full-time roles after graduation
